From the kitchen line to concrete
I spent years on restaurant lines, then traded the kitchen for concrete and learned the trade on other people's crews before starting our own here in Manchester in 2017. A busy kitchen teaches you that prep and timing decide how a dish turns out, and concrete works the same way. The pour is the quick part. What goes underneath it and when you pour decide how it holds up. A lot of the sunken, cracked slabs we tear out around Manchester were poured on dirt that was raked level, when it should have been dug out and packed.
These days we're best known for work around the house, like driveways, patios, walks and steps, and we also take on foundations, slabs and cutting jobs.
